Serious road collision at Whattle Syke roundabout

FOUR people were injured in a car smash on Sunday morning at the Whattle Syke roundabout near Wetherby.
A small peugeot collided head on with a 4x4 vehicle around 4am on the slip road leading off the Whattle Syke roundabout towards the A1.

Wetherby firefighters attended the incident alongside two ambulances and all the passengers were taken to Harrogate Hospital.

Wetherby Fire Officer, Clive Smith, said the injuries were not life-threatening but one of the casulties suffered a broken leg.
